Still Walking The Old Paths . . .

I would like to thank you for visiting our web page. The purpose of this site is
not to build a name for ourselves, but to exalt the Saviour and to inform the
Saints. You may be visiting our area soon, or perhaps you are just surfing the
web. Whatever the case may be, we want to be an encouragement.
I became the pastor of Temple Baptist Church on February 1, 2004. Since this
time, we have watched the Lord save souls and add families to the church.
We are amazed to see how God is working in our little mountain congregation
(He truly is God on the mountain)!
I was born on October 3, 1980, and grew up in the little town of Woodleaf,
NC. I was raised in Morning Star Baptist Church of Cleveland, NC. This is
where I was saved, called to preach, and ordained. Bro. Ronald Young was
my pastor. I also met my wife, Alisha, at Morning Star. We were married July
27, 2002, and have three beautiful children. God has certainly been good to
us, and we Bless His Name!
I could say many things about Temple, but one word will sum it all up - -
Willingness. By this I mean that the people are so willing to jump in and follow
God's leadership for the church. By God's Grace, we have not had to endure
splits and splinters. I consider it a privilege to pastor such a congregation of
people. We are looking forward to what God is going to do here in the future.
