In June 2008 I was diagnoised with Inflammatory Breast Cancer. It is grade 4, I also
have metastases to my lungs. This makes it a Stage IV
I am going to Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center Comprehensive Cancer
Center for my care. I am very impressed with everyone I have come in contact with!
Excellent care and very compassionate!!
I was in a clinical study, phase 3. I took Taxol weekly for three weeks, off one week. I
was also taking Sutent, a targeted therapy, orally, each night. I have had a double
mastectomy in August 2009. I completed radiation December 2009. In January 2010 I
started prednisone and Avelox for pneumanitis from the radiation. This did not clear
so I ended up in the hospital March the 15th with the trying to find out if this in my
lung is viral/bacterial pneumonia, pneumanitis, or cancer.
I am a wife, mother of a 19 yr old daughter, and 21 year old son, both whom are
continuing their education at a local college! I am very proud of both of my children!
I refer to the cancer as an alien that I am going to defeat! So any references in the
updates to aliens is the cancer!!!
I know God has a purpose for me going through this and having cancer. I never
thought it would be me, but why not? I also know God will not put me through any
thing he won't go through with me. I pray God will use this and me for whatever his
will is and I don't let my flesh get in the way. It is in his hands and he is the Great
Physician!!! So far I have been blessed beyond belief!!!!

A brief up-date for those not really familiar with my journey, then recent happenings:
I have Imflammatory breast cancer with mets to the lungs. It was stage IV when I was
diagnosed. I had chemo for over a year (was on a clinical trial for sutent), spent many
days in the hospital with low neutrophils (could not eat a salad, that is torture!), lost
my hair twice, status post bilat-mastectomy and extra surgeries, wound opening up,
had a wound vac, then completed radiation, had inflammation in my lungs from the
radiation, had to go on oxygen. Was wonderfully cared for by staff @ the Cancer
Center at Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. This all started 5/22/2008. God
has been with me through it all! He has blessed in midst of trials, comforted me,
answered prayers when all I could do was think it, He has been my all in all!
As of 1/06/2011 I now have new lesions in my lungs and liver. My oncologist feels
some of the places in the lungs is scar tissue from inflammation and infiltration from
radiation. I am currently taking 2 falsodex injections once a month. (These are a pain
in the butt!). The areas in the liver has not responded to the falsodex and has grown.
I will be having Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy after going through scans for them to
get specific measurements (scans scheduled for next week, unsure when treatments
will begin or how many treatments there will be, usually 3-5). It is in God's hands and
he has a plan no matter the outcome! I am glad He is the one in control, the Great
Physician, my Comforter, my Friend My Rock, my Saviour, He is my All in All!! So glad
I know Him as my personal Saviour and I know where I will spend eternity!!
I am very excited that I am going to be able to help in VBS! I was thrilled to see all the
ones at VBS @ Temple. The teen class was the largest! What a blessing! Also the
week after VBS we are having a Camp Meeting @ Bethel 10:30 in am & 7pm nightly! I
am really looking forward to these services! If you live near-by please come and visit
with us. VBS July 11-15 and Camp meeting July 18-22.
So hopefully I have gotten you back up to date on what is going on with me. If you
wonder about the daily effects, I do have trouble with nausea, migraines and some
pain, but considering..... I am doing good! I am very blessed and just want to say I
love my Saviour! I hope you know Him as your personal Saviour, if not, please do
before it is too late! I would not want to face a day without Him!
Pam Trivette's Story
On May 18th 2012, at age 45, Pam went home to be with Jesus. She was an
inspiration to all who knew her. She never lost her faith in God, and witnessed to
everyone, especially through her sickness. Her funeral was more like a revival. God
was ever so present in that service, with the saints of God praising him, which is
exactly the way Pam would of wanted! We will see her again one day soon.
Pams favorite verse~Habakkuk 3:18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God
of my salvation.
Her favorite song~Jesus Loves Me
this is what it means;
Yourself Last and
Others in between.

Instead, in August 2011 I started back on chemo, abraxene, avastin, & zometa.
The cancer is also in the liver, lymphnodes, and bones (skull, ribs, spine, hip, and
God is still blessing! After 3 months there is significant improvement in the liver,
lymphnodes, & skull! It's still in God's hans and I give Him praise for all He has
done and all the many blessings!
1/10/2012 paralyzed right vocal chord. Also significant change iin cancer lesions in
liver. Present ones are increased in size, then I have new larger ones. Beginging a
new chemo regimes, trying to get the severe nausea and vomiting under control.
God is still blessingg! No aspiration to the vocal chord, have have numerous
opportunities to witness to some Dr.s and nurses in here. God has a different path
for me now. I know not why, but he does and that is all that matters to me. Please
pray that I will be the prayer warrior, christian, and light for Him that He wants me to
be and that self will not get in the way and be seen. My Saviour is so worthy!
